Or wondered why some people are instinctively uncomfortable sitting with their back to the door?</p>
<h4>What is Feng Shui</h4>
<p>Translated from Chinese as &#8220;Wind and Water&#8221;, Feng Shui (pronounced foong shway) focuses on life&#8217;s energy and is a way of understanding how energy moves in our surroundings and how our buildings, their interiors, and our environment affect us.</p>

<p>Consultant Liz Wiggins from Feng Shui <strong>Living</strong>, who practices the Form Compass &amp; Flying Star School explains, &#8220;Feng Shui is not a superstition and shouldn&#8217;t be treated as such. When a consultant comes out to your home you should not be able to tell they have been there. It is not about recommending red tassels, toads or dragons. It is about life&#8217;s energy and a way of understanding how energy moves in our homes.&#8221;</p>
<p><strong>Analysing the energy</strong></p>
<p>Liz says that people can leave an imprint of their energies in the environment &#8211; particularly negative energies.</p>
<p>For example, if a business fails you often see that negative history is passed on to subsequent tenants. The shop may be in need of a &#8220;space clearing&#8221;.</p>
<p>This is the same when buying a home. According to Liz, you can inherit the bad energies of your home&#8217;s past occupants. As part of the Compass and Flying Star School of Feng Shui, a &#8220;space clearing&#8221; can be done by an expert to improve the energies of a space.</p>
<h4>What&#8217;s involved?</h4>
<p>Whether you are pre or post renovation, have just bought a new house or need de-cluttering help, Feng Shui principles offer an age old solution, based more on common sense than superstition.</p>
<p>When conducting a consultation, Liz gets her clients to supply an A4 floor plan of their home or office drawn to scale, which is a particular requirement of the Flying Star school of Feng Shui.</p>
<p>&#8220;A few hours are spent at the client&#8217;s home and a compass direction is taken. This will enable us to draw a chart over the floor plan that will give us an indication of the energies in and around the home. We then work to neutralise any negative energies and enhance positive energies by incorporating the five elements [wood, fire, earth. metal and water]. Any recommendations are inexpensive.&#8221;</p>
<p>Once a chart of the home has been analysed the consultant should have an indication of what you may have been experiencing in this building in regards to your health, relationships and wealth.</p>
<p>This can include an analysis of the land on the outside of a building, including its contours, such as mountains and the placement of water. In addition to the outside influence; the inside of the house must also be considered, focusing significantly on the placement of furniture.</p>
<p>Amongst the myriad of Feng Shui improvements that could be made to a home&#8217;s layout and furniture placement, the kitchen is a particularly interesting trouble spot.</p>
<p>According to Liz it is important that the stove is not directly in line with the home&#8217;s entrance. Cooking with one&#8217;s back to the door can have a negative effect on the cook&#8217;s mood, which in turn has a negative affect on everyone who eats the meal.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<div id="bodyCopy">Today, many civilized countries are facing the highest incidence of obesity, disease and orthopedic injury than ever before in recorded history. Even worse we are experiencing this ill health in spite of the fact that we have the greatest number of medical doctors using some of the most advanced medical technology than ever before. Knowing this, if there are things we can do for ourselves, we best get moving now!There are a few factors that can be correlated with our declining health, such as:</p>
<ul>
<li>A tremendous increase in the consumption of medical drugs (85 percent of Americans are on at least one prescription drug!)</li>
<li>Replacing water consumption with caffeinated and sugar-laden beverages</li>
<li>A massive decline in food quality due to soil depletion and use of industrial farming technology, as well as a huge increase in the quantity of processed foods</li>
<li>Lack of exercise!</li>
</ul>
<p>These points merely scratch the surface of reasons why people are becoming so sickly, but I am only going to address the last point in this article.</p>
<p>While many of you could, and probably do, have many reasons why you don&#8217;t participate in a regular, structured exercise program, none of you can honestly say that you don&#8217;t have time to walk! The human body is not only designed for daily movement, it is essential for optimal physiological function, which contributes to health and well-being. To demonstrate my point, consider the following benefits of walking:</p>
<p><strong>Metabolism and Walking</strong><br />
Walking is one of the most primal movement patterns known to man. Because walking was essential to our survival during our developmental years, our bodies have developed so that walking and movement are essential to health; as it has been said, form follows function.</p>
<p>Walking requires the integrated use of our arms, legs and torso. Hundreds of calorie-burning muscles are utilized simply by walking. Walking briskly on a daily basis not only results in calorie burning, it increases enzyme and metabolic activity that may result in increased calorie consumption for up to 12 hours after walking as little as 2 miles. The more deconditioned you are, the greater the metabolic effect of walking.</p>
<p>Increased metabolism means more than simply burning calories, it means that your body will be more likely to draw in nutrients from your food and supplements. It is not enough to control your portions; it is also important to watch what you are eating and if the food you are eating is prepared in a way that will ruin your diet. The small changes that you make concerning your eating habits shall definitely go a long way.</p>
<p style="text-align:left;">For instance, did you know that while fruit juice contains more nutrients than pop soda, a glass of fruit juice has just as much calories in it as a glass of Coke? So, instead of drinking fruit juice, eat fresh fruits instead. But if you simply must drink fruit juice, better drink one glass less than your usual.</p>
<p>Salads are popular fare for people who are following a weight loss diet. Salad greens are packed with great nutrients that the body needs to stay fit and healthy. For some added taste, we often dress up our salad with some salad dressing. However, just what kind of dressing you put on your salad can negate the benefits you are supposed to get when eating greens. If you are fond of eating your salad with commercial salad dressing or – shudder – mayonnaise, you might as well give up your diet. Commercial salad dressings and mayonnaise are full of calories. Olive oil would be the better choice of salad dressing, but even olive oil has its share of the bad calories that is almost equal in amount to a serving of mayonnaise. To neutralize this, mix olive oil with balsamic vinegar, add a pinch of salt and pepper, and then sprinkle the mixture on your salad greens. This is definitely a much better choice than mayonnaise.</p>
<p>Since we are proclaiming here the evils of mayonnaise in terms of calories, be careful of what you eat whenever you are in a fast food joint. Burgers and chicken sandwiches are often served loaded with mayonnaise, not to mention some helpings of grease and lard that are terrible if you are on a diet. Pass up the mayo, if you please. Or better yet, go home and make your own burgers.</p>
<p> </p>
<p>Speaking of grease and lard, another thing you may seriously want to reconsider is eating fried chicken. All the oil and the grease and the fat that come dripping with every serving of fried chicken that you eat are bad for you and for your diet. If you are really craving for the taste of chicken, opt for some char-broiled chicken breast. Do not forget to get rid of the skin before you eat it.</p>
<p>Another thing that you must take seriously when you are following a weight loss regimen is your consumption of fiber. Fiber helps your digestive system properly process the food that you eat. You can get your fiber from eating vegetables like spinach, broccoli, celery, carrots and beans. You may find yourself releasing some gas after munching on some, but never you mind. Fiber is good for you.</p>

<p>The distinct curve of the female breasts, their sensitivity to touch, and their role in suckling infants give them an aesthetic and a functionality that are distinctly feminin. The female breast is a visible, tangible and beautiful feature of the female body.</p>
<p>A great deal of sensual appeal centers on the female breast. Women tend to view their breasts through the reflection of their desirability to men.</p>
<p>Men&#8217;s magazines such as Playboy and FHM shape cultural attitudes about the desirable appearance of the breast. These magazine covers feature women with large breasts and slim figure.</p>
<p>Women&#8217;s magazines reinforce this view. Cosmopolitan, Chatelaine, Self, Essence, Jane and other women&#8217;s magazines regularly feature articles about ways to build and tone the breast, promising readers that they will therefore be able to better attract the opposite sex and have a more active social life.</p>
<p>The perfect breasts are considered round, positioned high on the chest, large and firm.<br />
If breasts are large, their weight tends to pull them down, resulting in neck and back discomfort. If they are large and round they will tend to droop and not be firm.<br />
The reality is that women&#8217;s breasts sag with childbirth and age, which is unavoidable.</p>
<p>Women tend to perceive their own breasts as smaller than an ideal breast size they expect is preferred by men.</p>
<p>If women are obsessed about their breast size and shape to the extent of surgery, men aren&#8217;t doing any better. For many men female breasts are a source of fascination and fantasy. They get inspired from looking at pictures where they see cleavage, where breasts are enticingly almost visible, yet hidden.</p>
<p>There are few men who are not fascinated by the twin visual attractions which women carry before them and which they display with varying degrees of boldness or coyness.</p>
<p>Men&#8217;s main interest seems to be in the breast shape. A closer look at well developed and beautiful female breasts reveals them to be be finely balanced, with the tissue tension precisely matching the weight so that they have both a beautiful form and mobility, similar with a work of art.</p>
<p>Another appeal of the female breast is its infinite variety. Many small women have big breasts while some big women are endowed in inverse proportion to their size. The same is true of nipples &#8211; some are big, others are minuscule, the variety seemingly neverending.<br />
Perhaps it is this mystery of the breast that men find so appealing &#8230; what shape is it exactly?</p>
<p>Women are very clever at giving visual clues, often revealing a mesmerizing swelling and leaving the admirer&#8217;s imagination to mentally picture the rest.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>According to the American Cancer Society, an estimated 213,000 new cases of breast cancer were diagnosed in American women last year. The good news is that there are several strategies that can help reduce the risk.Consider the following lifestyle changes:</p>
<p><strong>Stay physically active</strong>. Regular physical activity (at least 30 minutes 4-5 days a week) has been shown to protect against breast cancer.</p>
<p><strong>Limit alcohol</strong>. There is a strong link between alcohol consumption and breast cancer. The type of alcohol consumed appears to make no difference. To help protect against breast cancer, limit alcohol to less than one drink a day or avoid alcohol altogether.</p>
<p><strong>Maintain your health care</strong>. Early detection is key: in addition to monthly self examinations, women between ages 20 and 39 should have a clinical breast exam performed by a health care professional at least every three years; women 40 years of age or older should have annual breast exams and mammograms.</p>
<p><strong>Supplement wisely</strong>. vitamin D, folic acid and antioxidants all may help decrease risk.</p>
<p><strong>Reduce exposure to xenoestrogens</strong>. These chemicals with estrogen-like activity are found in common pesticides and industrial pollutants and as hormone residues in meat, poultry and dairy products.</p>
<p><strong>Avoid exposure to radiation.</strong> Limiting the number of chest x-rays, especially at a young age, may decrease the risk of breast cancer.</p>
<p><strong>Talk to your doctor</strong>. If you have close relatives with breast cancer, your personal risk is increased. Let your doctor know your family history, and discuss other ways you can help to prevent breast cancer. <em>By Beverly Smith</em></p>

In a container mix a slice of pumpkin with egg yolk and milk. Mix thoroughly until it appears creamy. Apply to face and set the mask on your face for about 30 minutes. Wash face with lukewarm water.</p>
<h1>Carrot Juice Exfoliating Toner</h1>
<p>This recipe for uneven skin tones due to blemishes and pigmentation.</p>

Make a carrot juice by extracting the juice using a juicer. Apply on face’s blemishes and pigmentation. Use this daily to achieve clear and well-toned skin.</p>

Ripe Banana</p>
<p><strong>Procedure:</strong></p>
<p>Mash 1/4 banana until very creamy. Spread all over your face and leave for 15-20 minutes before rinsing off with warm water followed by a dash of cold water. Then gently pat dry.</p>
<h1>All Natural Face Cream</h1>
<p>This is recipe is good in removing excess oil in the face and to prevent the growth of pimples and acne.</p>
<p><strong>Materials:</strong><br />
1/3 cup cocoa<br />
3 tsp of heavy cream<br />
1/3 cup of ripe papaya<br />
¼ cup honey<br />
3 tsp of oatmeal powder</p>
<p><strong>Procedure:</strong><br />
Mix cocoa and heavy cream in a container. Add the ripe papaya and continue stirring with honey. Mix them thoroughly and add the oatmeal powder. Continue Stirring until it will turn into thick creamy paste. Apply on the face and wait for 10 minutes. Rinse face with lukewarm water. It is safe to do this everyday or use this alternately.</p>
<h1>Dry Skin-Controlling Paste</h1>
<p>To naturally-moisturize dry skin.</p>
<p><strong>You will need:</strong><br />
Egg yolk<br />
Olive oil<br />
Lemon juice</p>
<p><strong>Procedure:</strong><br />
Make a creamy paste with egg yolk, olive oil and lemon juice by mixing all these ingredients together. Mix well and apply it on neck and face. Leave the mixture for 10 minutes and wash with water. Repeat this remedy as often as needed.</p>
<h1>Oily Skin Controlling Cream</h1>
<p>To extensively remove oily skin that may cause pimples.</p>
<p><strong>You will need:</strong><br />
Oatmeal<br />
Egg white</p>
<p><strong>Procedure:</strong><br />
Mix the egg white with oatmeal enough to create a creamy paste. Mix thoroughly and apply to face and neck liberally. Leave the mixture for 20 minutes and wash with clean water. Do this as often as needed.</p>
<h1>Milk-Lemon-Egg Facial Paste</h1>
<p>To remove skin blemishes and dead skin.</p>
<p><strong>You will need:</strong><br />
½ teaspoon milk powder<br />
¼ teaspoon egg white<br />
½ teaspoon of lemon juice</p>
<p><strong>Procedure:</strong><br />
Make a creamy paste by mixing ½ teaspoon of milk powder with ¼ teaspoon egg white and ½ teaspoon lemon juice. Mix the ingredients thoroughly and apply on he face and neck liberally. Be careful not to apply this on broken skin or damaged skin. Leave for 20 minutes and wash with lukewarm water, pat dry.</p>
<h1>Coconut-Pineapple Extract</h1>
<p>For whiter and fairer skin.</p>
<p><strong>You will need:</strong><br />
Coconut Milk<br />
Pineapple Juice</p>
<p><strong>Procedure:</strong><br />
Make sure products are all natural and not ready to serve. Combine coconut milk and pineapple juice. Mix thoroughly and apply on the face by cotton balls. Leave the mixture on the face for 20 minutes enough to dry on face allowing the extract to absorb on the skin. Wash skin with water and pat dry.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>It is a sad reality that our culture and society is so youth-oriented. The image of what is considered beautiful is what is exemplified today on the runways: those stick-thin, teenage gazelles with boney arms and legs, whose cheeks look a touch sunken and whose cheekbones are a touch too prominent because of their thinness. It is the template that most women right now are trying so hard to fit in, so much that they would do anything to lose the extra weight that they think they are carrying.</p>
<p>Some of these women subscribe to various diets, whether scientifically proven or just fads, while some exert all effort to burn away the extra weight. some take diet teas and diet pills, and some even go through surgical procedures just to suck the fat out of their bodies. Sadly, there are some women who will not stop at anything to lose weight, who are truly convinced that the only way to be considered beautiful is to fit the size and shape of the ideal image that society holds.</p>
<p>Unfortunately, smoking is one of those means that some of those women use to lose weight. Why smoking? It is because smoking is one of the fastest ways out there to lose weight. Smoking accelerates weight loss because it kills the appetite and quickly burns the extra weight off the body’s system.</p>
<p> </p>
<p>But just as unfortunate is that while smoking deadens the appetite, it also burns away the nutrients that our body needs to be healthy and functioning properly. While we may think that the quick weight loss that smoking brings us is good, in the long run, it is only going to cost us our health.</p>
<p>Did you know that smoking is currently the leading cause of death in the United States? According to the United States’ National Institutes for Diabetes &amp; Digestive &amp; Kidney Diseases, diseases directly resulting from smoking kill more than 400,000 people in the United States. Smoking also increases the risk of a person getting cancer. And not just cancer of the lungs; smoking is linked to cancer of the cervix, the larynx, the esophagus, the kidneys, the pancreas, even breast cancer. Smoking also robs the body of calcium, so women who smoke are more prone to developing osteoporosis than women who do not smoke. In addition, women who smoke are also more likely to give birth to premature babies and babies with congenital defects.</p>
<p>Smoking may be a quick fix to anyone’s weight problem, but in the long run, the detriments that it brings to our health is not really worth it. Regardless of what image society projects, a truly beautiful woman is not just someone who is thin and can fit into size six clothes. A truly beautiful woman has a body that is fit and toned and whose skin glows with health.</p>
<p>If you want to lose weight, smoking is not the ticket for you. Rather than smoking, you should try simple exercises. You do not have to go to the gym to get some exercise. You could chose to walk when you need to go to the neighborhood store instead of drive. Also, instead of eating three times a day, you can try eating small, nutritious snacks every two or three hours. In this way, you will not feel hungry at all, and yet your body will remain nourished and actually increase its metabolism.</p>
<p><strong>Quit smoking. Smoking is not good for you.</strong></p>
